TEXAS FIRST FLAG WAS GREEN in 1812/1813

MAY 7, 1812 THE GREEN FLAG for THE FIRST REPUBLIC OF TEXAS WAS CREATED BY COLONEL BERNARDO GUTIERREZ DE LARA.
In Fort Claiborne, Louisiana "Don Bernardo" Gutierrez, Named Miguel Menchaca as Capitan and Augustus William MaGee Liutenant ."Bernardo's" second in command and formed the insugent army Known as: The Republican Army of the North. Most of the Americans know this event as the GUTIERREZ MaGee EXPEDITION.
The color of this flag was plain green 30x42 inches, and the color represented Liberty in the Gachupin War.During US Revolution of 1812.
The Republican Army of the north Gained independence for the Tejas province from the spanish crown.
The First Capital was San Fernando de Bejar (today's San Antonio, Texas USA)
And the Green Flag Flew over the SPANISH GOVERNOR'S PALACE in front of Plaza de Armas (Military Square) April 6, 1813 When Texas was Declared an independent Republic fron Spain. to be added Later as a State.
The Texas Republic short lived up to August 18, 1813 When General Jose Alvarez de Toledo lost The Battle of Medina.10 miles out San Antonio's city limits by the Medina River, Galvan Creek and Las Gallinas Creek. In Espey Texas.
